Obama revealed some shocking thing about his past during a speech to students at the University of Chicago. He was giving advice to students who are thinking about running for office. He told people how the internet changes everything. Now everything you say and do is permanent.
“The problem is, with the internet, that past is always there,” said Obama. He went on to admit that if there were pictures of everything he’s done in high school, he would have never been elected President. “If you had pictures of everything I had done when I was in high school, I probably wouldn’t have been president of the United States,” said Obama.
What do you think he is hiding? Obama went on to talk about his use of drugs in high school. His advice to students was to “own it” instead of hiding it. “I learned from that, I didn’t sugar coat it, I didn’t suggest somehow it had been something that recommended for everybody, but that’s what teenage kids did at that age where I was growing up. Not everybody, some were wiser than me, I wasn’t that wise,” said Obama.
“I would advise all of you to be a little more circumspect about your selfies, and what you take pictures of. Just a suggestion,” said Obama.
However, if Obama is so good at “owning” the past, and is unashamed of his drug use in high school, then what else is he hiding? What from his past would have stopped him from becoming President?
